Some people would love to learn Reiki for their own personal self-care. Others want to channel Reiki for healing others. Regardless of your goals around learning Reiki, Kelly and My Wealth in Health will help you achieve them!
We offer Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki and Karuna Reiki® training both in person in Durham NC and online. All in-person classes will be held at: Health Touch NC Community Center 3500 Westgate Drive Suite 504 Durham, NC 27707 |

We also offer ICRT Animal Reiki training online via Zoom. This type of Animal Reiki training was developed through Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki by Licensed Reiki Master Teachers from the International Center of Reiki Training.
One of our goals in providing Reiki classes is to accommodate those who find it difficult to set aside 8 hours in a single day by splitting the classes into 4-hour days.
Reiki I is divided into 2 separate classes: Reiki Fundamentals and Reiki Techniques. Completing both classes is required for Reiki I certification with the Reiki Membership Association.
The online classes are taught live using Zoom video conferencing. They will not be pre-recorded videos at all. Kelly will be present, in sight, and engaging the students at all times during the online class except during the designated 10-minute breaks. All class times are in Eastern Time.

This 1/2-day class provides an option for learning the very basics needed to channel Reiki. Therefore, it does not require a day-long class and is more affordable (a Reiki I is typically ~ $200). Reiki Fundamentals™ is also ideal for you if you are not sure becoming a licensed practitioner but are curious about Reiki and/or would like to incorporate it into your self-care.
The Reiki Fundamentals™ class will cover: |

- what is Reiki and how it works.
- how and where Reiki can be used.
- a brief history of Reiki.
- the standard Reiki session hand positions for self-healing.
- the Japanese Technique Kenyoku for clearing one's energy field.
Masks are required to be worn properly (over both nose and mouth) for all in-person classes.

Reiki Techniques™: For Healing Others (Reiki I Day 2)

People who wish to channel Reiki for healing others range from those who have loved ones with health issues to health care professionals (massage therapists, nurses, dentists, and others). This 1/2-day class not only builds upon the Reiki Fundamentals™ class to complete first degree Reiki (Reiki I) certification training but also is a perfect refresher for those who are already certified Reiki I practitioners. Reiki Techniques™ will cover:

Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki II
To minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19, the first day of all Reiki II classes will always be online via Zoom web conferencing until further notice. Given that the first day of class is focused on learning the Reiki II symbols and receiving the attunement/placement, there will be no need for any physical contact between attendees.

Friday - Sunday, July 25-27, 2025; 9:00 am-6:00 pm ET each day
(Each day will include a 1-hour lunch and two 10-minute breaks.)
Registration Fee: $1300 (deposit: $300, with the balance of $1000 due prior to class start time); 15% discount for returning students. Payment plan options are available upon request.

- learn the Usui Master and Holy Fire® symbols
- practice using the Usui Master and Holy Fire® symbols for treatments.
- learn how to create a Reiki crystal grid for sending Reiki to yourself and others
- dive into the values and spiritual orientation of a Reiki Master
- learn how to teach Reiki classes
- receive Reiki healing through the Empowered by the River of Life Experience and the Holy Fire® Healing Experience
- receive 4 Ignitions (attunements)
- learn how to give yourself Ignitions.
Each student will also receive a 186-page class manual to review before class and a class certificate upon completion.
Students must attend all days to receive their certificate.

Karuna Reiki(R) Master Classes

This training is split into four 6-hour classes taught across two consecutive weekends:
Prerequisite: at least 6 months since completing Usui-style Reiki Master Certification (documentation of training required).
This class provides the complete Karuna Reiki® Master training. You will:
Students must attend all days to receive their certificate.
Online class days will be taught LIVE using Zoom video conferencing. The day before class is an optional 30-minute session for getting you comfortable with using Zoom! There will be a 1-hour lunch break noon-1:00 pm each day with 2 additional short breaks as needed throughout each class day.

Prerequisite: at least 6 months since completing Usui-style Reiki Master Certification (documentation of training required).
This class provides the complete Karuna Reiki® Master training. You will:
- learn the Holy Fire® and Karuna Reiki® symbols
- practice using the Holy Fire® and 8 Karuna Reiki® symbols for treatments.
- learn how to teach Reiki classes
- receive Reiki healing through the Empowered by the River of Peace Experience and the Holy Fire® Healing Experience
- learn how to heal using chanting and toning the Holy Fire® Karuna Reiki® symbols.
- learn how to give yourself Ignitions.
- receive 4 Ignitions (attunements), including the World Peace Ignition
Students must attend all days to receive their certificate.
Online class days will be taught LIVE using Zoom video conferencing. The day before class is an optional 30-minute session for getting you comfortable with using Zoom! There will be a 1-hour lunch break noon-1:00 pm each day with 2 additional short breaks as needed throughout each class day.

ICRT Animal Reiki I

Animal Reiki I is an 8-hour class that is taught online across two 4-hour days. During this class, we will cover:

- distant Animal Reiki techniques for single animals or groups, candidates for distant Reiki, and how to use photos, written notes, Facetime, or live webcams for distant sessions.
Students must attend both days to receive their certificate.
This class will be taught online LIVE using Zoom video conferencing. The day before class is an optional 30-minute session for getting you comfortable with using Zoom!
ICRT Animal Reiki II

Animal Reiki II is an 8-hour class that is taught across two 4-hour days. During this class, we will cover:

- the ICRT Animal Reiki Code of Ethics and the ICRT Animal Reiki Guiding Principles
- how to create a thriving Animal Reiki practice, including in the formal or professional environments of veterinary offices, zoos or wildlife rehab facilities, animal shelters, therapy animal organizations, animal sanctuaries, and ways you might use Reiki in these settings.
On the second day, students will practice giving Reiki to dogs and cats at the Animal Protection Society of Durham in Durham, NC. As a thank you for allowing us to use their space and work with their animals, we ask that each student brings with them a donation of dog and cat food. Monetary donations are also welcome. Students will also receive the Animal Reiki II Attunement/Placement and a Second Degree Animal Reiki certificate.
Students must attend both days to receive their certificate.

As a thank you to Lauren Kahn and Eagle Bear Farm for allowing us to use their space and work with their animals, we ask that each student brings with them a donation of either apples or carrots as snacks for the horses.
On the fourth day, students will practice giving Reiki to the dogs at the Animal Protection Society of Durham in Durham, NC. As a thank you for allowing us to use their space and work with their animals, we ask that each student brings with them a donation of dog food, xylitol-free peanut butter, hot dogs, or cat food. Monetary donations are also welcome.

Can't find a good date or time for taking one of the Reiki classes above? Let's schedule a private Reiki class to fit your busy lifestyle. Whether it's completing Reiki I in 1 day or across multiple days, let's make it happen for you. Class times can be divided into 2- to 8-hour blocks. Both one-on-one and group classes work just fine.
In deciding how you'd prefer to schedule your class, below are the number of hours needed to complete each class: |

- Reiki Master: 24 hours
The cost for each private class is equal to the regular tuition cost plus 30%. If the private class is for at least 2 students, the cost is the regular tuition with no additional charge.

Kelly Nembhard is a Reiki Master Teacher in Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki. She received her Usui/Holy Fire® III and Karuna® Reiki training from Bryce Goebel at A Reiki Place in Charlotte, NC. Kelly also received first and second degree Usui Shiki Ryoho training from Marcia Hebrank at One Light Center in Durham, NC.
