![]() Reiki is a Japanese technique for relaxation that reduces stress, strengthens the immune system, increases vitality, and boosts your body's natural ability to heal! Just like acupressure, meditation, and aromatherapy, Reiki is a natural, non-invasive therapy that is centuries old and is a go-to today for benefiting the quality of life for people of all ages. It is a go-to complementary treatment around the world in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and wellness centers. What is Reiki based on?
It's all about your biofield! A biofield is a field of vital life energy that flows through and surrounds every living thing. Have you ever been in a room with your back to the door, sensed that someone was behind you without hearing a sound, and turned around to see that someone was in fact behind you? That's because your biofield was bumping up against their biofield. Your physical, mental, and emotional health is affected by your biofield and vice versa, which means a healthy biofield = a healthy you! How does Reiki work? Reiki uses the vital life energy that surrounds us to heal your biofield, which then heals your body and mind. The client either lays on a table or sits in a chair fully clothed. The Reiki practitioner then allows the energy to flow through them into the client's biofield to heal it. To do that, the Reiki practitioner can either lay their hands on the client's body or hover the hands within the biofield a couple inches from the body, whichever the client prefers. What is a Reiki session like? A Reiki session can take between 30-90 minutes, and the average is 60 minutes. The client can have their eyes opened or closed. Just like during a massage session, the room will be softly lit, and gentle music and aromatherapy are completely optional. My Wealth in Health provides all these options. 😉 So, if you happen to be in the Triangle area and need a boost of healing and relaxation, schedule your Reiki session today with My Wealth in Health!
